Shelby chose speech pathology to make a difference in the lives of children with communication difficulties; she discovered this with her brother when he was a young child, as she helped him. She enjoys working with babies, toddlers and their families and helping them with communication success. Shelby is the only certified Auditory Verbal Therapist (AVT) working in a clinic setting in Kentucky and is the Immediate Past President of the Kentucky Chapter of the Alexander Graham Bell Association.
