Therapy may be provided at the Center or via Tele-Intervention.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hscky.org\/speech\/therapy\/\">Comprehensive Speech\/Language Evaluations<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Chatter Box Program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hearing &amp; Speech Center\u2019s \u201cChatter Box\u201d program is a language-enriched play group designed to give children the opportunity to use their emerging speech-language communication skills with their peers and prepare for preschool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Targeted Participants:<\/strong>&nbsp;Children ages 22 months\u20133 years (priority given to children with identified or potential speech-language delays)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sessions are centered on a theme-based activity and vocabulary, which build:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Social Awareness<\/li><li>Language and Communication Skills<\/li><li>Cognitive Development<\/li><li>Sensory Motor Skills<\/li><li>Creative Development<\/li><li>Music and Movement<\/li><li>Play Skills<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Activities include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Welcome circle and center time<\/li><li>Songs and finger-plays to support language development<\/li><li>Theme-based stories targeting vocabulary growth<\/li><li>Activities targeting letter knowledge, rhyming, and other early literacy skills<\/li><li>Activities to support turn-taking and group participation<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information, please contact Laura Thomas at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:laurat@hscky.org\">laurat@hscky.org<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<strong><a href=\"tel:+18592684545\">859-268-4545<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"camps\">Lightning Bugs Language Camps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hearing &amp; Speech Center &#8220;Lightning Bugs Language Camps&#8221; are a collaborative program led by preschool teachers with certifications in deaf\/hard of hearing and early childhood education that are licensed and certified through the state of Kentucky and HSC and speech pathologists.
