The Hearing &
Speech Center

The Hearing & Speech Center (HSC) is a private, nonprofit agency with over 60 years of experience working with children with hearing loss and/or speech/language impairments. The Center began in 1960 as a preschool for children with hearing loss after a group of parents approached the founders, Jimmy and Edie Frankel, with a request to create an educational alternative to the state residential school for the deaf.

The mission of The Hearing & Speech Center is to improve the lives of people with varied hearing and speech abilities through treatment and education. We do this by providing high-quality educational, clinical, and family support services.
